How Level 1 works

The order is the product.

Most workout videos ask you to keep up, or to figure out what comes next. Level 1 does the planning for you.

Every class moves from most support to least support: floor, then chair, then standing and balance. Each exercise gets you ready for the next one. In Coach Evan's words: “Mobilize first, then stabilize.” You don't plan a workout. You turn the page.

Questions

Plain answers.

Who is this for?

Adults 60+ who want to keep doing what they love. If the floor, the stairs or a long day on your feet feels harder than it used to, start here.

Do I need to be fit to start?

No. The method starts on the floor and in a chair and works up to standing and balance. Go at your own pace and use support.

Do I need to get down on the floor?

Part 1 is done on the floor, on a nonslip pad. The book includes an 8-step guide to getting down and back up with a sturdy chair. Practice it with someone else in the room. If you can't get on the floor safely, the floor exercises can be done on a couch, a bed or a massage table. If you're unsure, talk with your doctor first.

What if I have sore knees or a stiff back?

Talk with your doctor first. Level 1 starts with the most support, on the floor and in your chair, before you stand. The book opens with safety pages on when to stop and how to make a move easier. Move slowly, keep breathing, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or unusual discomfort. Skip any move that doesn't feel right that day.

What do I receive?

A PDF download: the 132-page large-print guide with 92 exercises, including the 8-step getting down & back up guide. It's a digital product, so nothing is shipped to you.

Can I read it on my phone or tablet?

Yes. It's a standard PDF that opens on phones, tablets and computers. You can also print the pages you use most.

What if it isn't right for me?

You have 14 days to ask for a refund. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Can I ask a question before I buy?

Yes. Email [email protected] with any question.

Is there research behind it?

The method leans on the training that fall-prevention research supports most: balance, functional movement, and mixing several types of exercise (Cochrane review, Sherrington et al., 2019). That's research on these kinds of exercise, not a promise about your results.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. It's a single $24 payment. Nothing renews, and you keep the PDF.
